It’s easy to underestimate the value of your possessions, and we're not just talking about your laptop and phone. Items such as your clothes, hairdryers and other smaller gadgets, like Fitbits and watches can all add up. Should something happen to your most important possessions, you'll likely want them replaced - and as soon as possible.
The great news is that true student include free contents insurance for all the students who live with us, by partnering with Endsleigh, the No.1 student insurance provider.

You can check in from 10am on the day that your contract starts. If you arrive earlier, we will always try to accommodate an earlier check in where possible but this cannot be guaranteed.
Our main welcome hub is located as soon as you walk into the main building of Salford One.
For check-in, we have a dedicated check-in team in both Salford One and Salford Two. Depending on which accommodation you have booked, enter via the main entrance for that building, and a member of the team will direct you from there!
We have limited car parking spaces at both Salford One and Salford Two. The parking bays on both sites are strictly for those who have reserved them in advance for the academic year. Please avoid using these bays when you arrive.
If you are arriving by car, we have a small area outside both Salford One and Salford Two which can be used to drop items off kerbside, and then to be moved ready for the next car to pull in. We will have team members coordinating on the day.
Street parking is available on King William Street, where you can park for free for two hours - however, parking space is limited, so you may wish to make alternative arrangements in advance. Please be mindful that council parking attendants may be operating in this area, so ensure that you adhere to any signage. Parking on a double yellow line may result in a parking fine, which we cannot accept any liability for.
We also have cycle storage catering for up to 160 bikes and many local bus stops, plus a tram stop right behind our building!
It is useful to have a note of your unique booking reference however, this is not essential. All you need is your Photo ID (e.g. passport or driving license) and proof of student status (e.g. your student card or university email). If you have not received your student card by the time you come to check in, this must be presented to us within 5 days.
