What is the difference between a studio and an apartment?

Studios give you complete privacy with your own en-suite, double bed, study space, and kitchenette—all in one self-contained space.

Apartments offer a balance of privacy and social life. You’ll still have a private en-suite and bedroom, but share the kitchen and living area with others - perfect for making new friends!

Can I choose my room?

Can I bring pets?

Unfortunately not, however we do have dog therapy workshops for those who miss their pets!

Does true Leicester have parking?

Yes! We have limited spaces in our underground carpark at £25 per week.

How old do I need to be to live at true?

We accept all full time students over the age of 18.

Are any rooms wheelchair accessible?

Yes! We have accessible studios and apartments with wet-room bathrooms. Just select one when booking or contact us for help.

How safe are true properties?

true takes safety seriously. We have a dedicated member of staff or security guard on-site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to give you peace of mind.

Our Electronic door entry systems, intercoms and CCTV ensure that everyone who lives with us benefits from the highest security standards, so the only thing they have to worry about is your studies.

How long are your tenancies?

Choose a 44-week or 51-week contract - whatever works best for you.

What happens after I book my student accommodation?

You’ll get a confirmation email with a link to complete your onboarding. From there, choose your payment plan, upload your guarantor (if needed), and sign your contract. Your booking is confirmed once your first rent payment is made!

Can I cancel my booking for free?

Leicester might be one of the oldest cities in the UK, but there’s nothing outdated about this location. Located in the heart of England’s East Midlands, the city is known for its strong community spirit, buzzing food scene and fascinating history. No matter your interests, Leicester has something for everyone.

You may have heard of the city through its connections to Richard III, and you can visit his final resting place at Leicester Cathedral - just 10 minutes from our accommodation. But this isn’t all there is to discover! There’s so much to do here, with High Cross Shopping Centre and the High Street close-by, and the nearest bars and nightclubs are only a one-minute walk away.

Being in the heart of the UK, the city is very well connected - perfect if you need a day out or to visit family. Leicester sits near to the M1 motorway, allowing you to easily drive up and down England. The city is also on the Midland Main Line, allowing you to reach London in around an hour, and Nottingham in about 30 minutes. When travelling inside the city, buses are the main form of public transport - covering the majority of the city.
