How much does is it cost to stay at true?
Our developments vary in price and we have different room options available to suit different budgets, starting from £115 per week.
Can I view a room?
We run a weekly virtual viewing session every Monday at 6PM via Zoom, to find out more and register please click here. Alternatively, you can visit our YouTube page here or get in touch with us via our livechat, phone or contact form to arrange an onsite viewing, or a virtual viewing at a more convenient time that suits you!
For our developments that are not yet open (true Liverpool, true Swansea and true Glasgow), we have images and virtual tours on our location pages, please contact us to discuss further.
What is the booking process?
You can book directly with true using our website. In order for the booking to be confirmed, all required documents must be returned including guarantor agreement, tenancy agreement and provision for your rent payments. A booking will only be confirmed by true once all the necessary documentation has been supplied.
Who can be my guarantor?
A guarantor is someone over the age of 18 who takes joint financial responsibility for your tenancy and is liable to pay your rent if you are, for any reason, unable to pay an amount owed to true Student. You will need to name a guarantor when you make your booking if you select to pay your rent in instalments. This person will need you chose to be your guarantor will need to be UK based and sign a guarantor agreement and we have the right to pursue this person for any outstanding payments and it is therefore important your guarantor understands the liability.
Do I need to be a student?
Yes our developments are only for students.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
No, we do not charge deposits. However, to reserve a room you will need to pay a £150 advanced rent payment. This will be taken of your first months rent.
I only have a conditional offer, can I still book?
Yes, you can secure your room for a £150 advanced rant payment and if you don’t get into the University of your choice or decide to go to another city where there is no true accommodation then this will be refunded.
Can we stay in the same room as a couple?
Yes, of course you can stay as a couple in our accommodation. We do not charge extra for this.
Can I book with friends?
Yes! You can book with friends and we’ll try our best to position your rooms as close to one another as possible – please let us know after you book online.
Do you offer short term lets?
Most of our rooms are occupied throughout the year but we might be able to accommodate your needs. Please contact us to see if we can meet your short-term accommodation needs.
Can I rebook my current room for next academic year?
From 26th October - 2nd November our prices will freeze at their current room rate. To make use of this offer, students wishing to rebook should register their interest via the sign-up form in the email they will receive, or speak to a true team member. Full T&C's apply and contracts will need to be signed by 11th November.
After 2nd November our new room rates for 21/22 will be announced and guests will be able to rebook via the website.
Can I share a room with someone if they’re not a student?
We're only able to accept students in full-time education to live with us, but they are welcome to visit!
Can I see who else has booked in my flat?
We have a closed Facebook group set up for each of our true locations – the best place to find the answer to this question is to join as soon as your booking is secured and start socialising with your new housemates!
How do I book a room?
On our website, you will see a big yellow box in the right hand corner which says "Reserve a room". If you click this, it will take you through to our properties, from there please select the location you wish to stay at.
Once you have selected the property you would like to book at, double check the bottom bar that pops up to ensure you’ve got the right academic year and correct amount of people occupying the room.
You will then be directed to our range of amazing true apartments and suites. Select the room type you like, enter your details, cover the advanced rent payment and your room is then reserved for 10-days.
Finally, you will be invited via email to complete the onboarding stage of your booking which is simply provided a few more details about yourself, some identification, selecting your rent instalment option, uploading a UK guarantor (if applicable) and signing the contract - which secures your booking. If the onboarding process has not been completed within 10-days your booking will be cancelled.
Do I need a guarrantor?
If you would like to pay in either 4 or 10 instalments, we do require a UK guarantor. If you are unable to provide a UK guarantor, then please get in touch with us to discuss your options.
