There are plenty of things to do in Salford / Manchester, with green spaces, lively restaurants and bars, cultural hotspots and thriving universities including Salford UniversityManchester University and Manchester Metropolitan - this city attracts the brightest media minds, musicians and innovative thinkers!

Salford Quays

The Quays were previously a busy industrial dock, serving ships that came up the Manchester canal. Today, there is so much to do in this area from the Imperial War Museum, Salford Museum & Art Gallery and even open water swimming events during the summer months!


Media City

Media City is an international hub for technology, innovation and creativity. It's home to huge brands including the BBC and ITV studios. Salford University also has a campus here for media courses including journalism and TV documentary-making. There are also plenty of independent restaurants to eat your way through including Pier 8, Social 7 and Catena.


Manchester United

Good news for all the football fans - this city is home to Manchester United Football club. Grab your friends and some tickets and watch a game live, or head to the grounds for a museum and stadium tour.


Chinatown

The Manchester Chinatown is the second largest Chinatown in the UK, which means you are spoilt for choice with Chinese restaurants, bakeries, shops and bubble tea stops! During February, the annual Chinese New Year Festival is also held which features stalls and dancing dragons.


Gay Village

The Manchester Gay Village is located just next to the gorgeous Rochdale Canal. It's lined with cafes and lively gay bars. Each year the Manchester Pride Festival is celebrated here with rainbows, parades and live music it's not one to miss!


Food Markets

Calling all foodies - Manchester is packed full with street food markets to try. From the Arndale Food market to Picadilly Gardens there is always a new cuisine to try!


Bars / Clubs

We can't wait for the lockdown to lift and the bars to re-open. The Botanist and Alchemist are just a 5-minute walk  from true Salford. But, if you fancy venturing into Manchester city centre for a boogie, the Northern Quater is a buzzy area full with plenty of bars and clubs to choose from.
