How To Choose Private Student Accommodation | true

Selecting the right private student accommodation for you!

Posted 22 Jan 2020

Are you in the process of searching for student accommodation for September 2020? Maybe you're heading off to university for the first time or are going into your second year. Either way it's important to do your research and find accommodation that is right for you and within your budget.

Location is key, once you know which university you're going to be studying at, you need to get a feel for the area. Ensure you choose a place with easy access and travel links to the university and around the city.

Once you've found an area you like, it's important to search for a provider that offers you a room type you will feel comfortable living in. If you prefer your own space a studio apartment or private suite might be the right option for you. Alternatively, if you're more of a social butterfly and would prefer to meet new people or already have a group of friends you'd like to move-in with, a shared apartment may be more suitable.

Finally, find out what facilities are covered within the rent. Are all bills included and contents insurance covered? Are there any designated areas for studying, common areas for socialising and a gym for getting the odd workout? If you're happy, it's affordable and ticks all the boxes - be sure to secure your room before it's too late!
