true Summer Parties 2021
As we approach the end of a fantastic (albeit different)
year at true, we wanted to give our guests the send-off they deserved… cue summer
party! We weren’t about to let the fact that restrictions hadn’t fully eased on
21st June rain on our parade either. Each accommodation put together
a fantastic covid-friendly summer bash which saw us all come #truegether to
celebrate our guests’ year at true student.
Without further ado, here’s what we got up to at each party…
true Manchester, Salford
Theme: Summer Solstice Festival
Think love island villa vibes! Our summer solstice festival included a silent disco AND live dj, so everyone could boogie to their favourite cheesy, techno and disco tunes. The Festival Zone and Courtyard were transformed into a magical party utopia featuring lanterns, bunting, fairy lights and much more. At the bar, we served all the cocktail classics - pornstar martinis, rum cocktails, frozen daquiris… you name it. One of our lovely guests even set up a glitter stand because, let’s be honest, you cant have a festival without glitter!
true Newcastle Glassworks
Theme: Tiki Party
Flowers, firebreathers, photobooths. Despite the rain, true Newcastle’s tiki party was HOT! We had an absolute blast, trying everything from the beer pong to the candyfloss cart, and the array of snacking cups filled with watermelon, popcorn and fizzy sweets (not all in the same cup!) Guests danced to the hottest TikTok tracks of the summer, played limbo and beat the tiki pinata for another candy top up. The bar was loaded with drinks and vibrant tiki straws, and there was a buffet of Domino’s pizzas so we could continue dancing the night away!
true Newcastle Opto
Theme: Retro funfair/circus
If you like a game, this was the party for you! Knocking down tins, fishing for rubber duckies and throwing balls in buckets was just some of the fun-filled activites at true Newcastle Opto’s party. Amid the background of amazing live music, guests ate their hearts out from the candy cart and got their minds blown with the help of some card trick wizardry!
true Birmingham
Theme: Bouncy Castle & BBQ
We asked what you wanted, you said bouncy castles and barbecues. So that’s exactly what we delivered! In between jumping around and munching on burgers and wings, we also had alcoholic and non-alcoholic punch, a live DJ duo, photo booth, candy floss and even a tepee fit with Moroccan-style cushions and fairy lights! The party went down a treat for guests, who arrived to a buck’s fizz reception by our famous winged wall backdrop.
