Supporting Our Students That May Need To Quarantine Upon Arrival To The UK

We are looking forward to welcoming many overseas students at our university accommodation this September. Therefore, we'd like to reassure our students that we are following the current UK Government, NHS and Public Health England relevant guidance to support a guest that may need to quarantine upon arrival to the UK. 

Health and Safety

We are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our guests in any eventuality. All true properties will be certified through the ‘safe to trade’ scheme designed to:

Arrival / Check In

In on boarding and pre arrival communications we will allow for necessary guest information to be complete pre arrival ensuring a fast, safe and hassle-free check in experience. Guests will be escorted with one member of the true team, to limit interaction and ensuring strict social distancing measures are in place at all times. The guest’s personal room key will be in their room pre arrival. Shared Apartments In line with current Government guidance, students residing in shared accommodation should follow Public Health England’s stay at home guidance for households. Room allocation is being carefully monitored to ensure this will be possible for when students arrive to live with us at true. This procedure may change in line with Government guidelines or as new guidance becomes available. 

Grocery Delivery

Details on local supermarkets and web addresses will be included as part of the Welcome Information distributed upon arrival. We will know nearer the time If quarantine will impact the students. If so, we will email all relevant information pre arrival to allow students the opportunity to pre order their groceries and book a specific delivery slot in advance of arrival. Students will need to confirm all pre booked delivery slots with the onsite team in advance to enable us to support groceries being delivered to door. 

Parcel / Delivery

Mail services and parcel deliveries will be made direct to the student’s door once per day. We will knock the door, move away by a minimum of 2m until the door is answered (maintaining social distancing). 

24/7 Concierge

There will be an onsite true team member available 24 hours a day, who can be contacted should assistance be required at any time. 

Virtual Events

There will be a virtual events programme in place for students to enable them to participate in true life events during their period of quarantine. 


All guest bedrooms will be fully checked pre-arrival to ensure there are no maintenance issues. During the period of quarantine only essential maintenance e.g. loss of power, water or appliance failure will be complete. Should essential works be required, safe working practices will be in place to resolve the issue as safely as possible. Minor maintenance should be reported to allow for them to be resolved after the period of quarantine. 


Information on the laundry services as well as how to download and use the Circuit App will be provided as part of the welcome information provided upon arrival. To limit the risk of potential transmission, we would request that laundry requests are made only if absolutely necessary and are kept to a minimum. If students do require urgent laundry to be complete during the period of quarantine, the onsite team will collect the laundry and return to the guest upon completion of the cycle. Laundry should be bagged up in line with the laundry procedure that will be contained within the welcome information.

Refuse Collection

Heavy duty bags will be included as part of our Welcome Pack. These are to be used for all waste products. When the bags are full, simply contact a member of the true team who will arrange for the bag to be collected. Bags should NOT be left in the corridors.
